The maturation of mobile satellite communication (satcom) systems from at-thehalt and at-the-pause designs to providing a full-speed on-the-move capability, has given rise to a new generation of antennas and platform configurations. These advancements have evolved alongside those of satcom modems, ground terminals, networks and, of course, the satellites.
