Camouflage and concealment activities and systems aim at increasing the survivability of a military system, answering the first two of the protection elements in the ‘don’t be seen – don’t be acquired – don’t be hit – don’t be killed’ equation. Using concealment tactics, such as exploiting terrain features, adopting the right camouflage in order to blend the system with the background and deploying decoys in the area, contributes to increasing detection difficulties by one’s opponent.
